Oleksiy Arestovich, advisor to the head of the OP on strategic communications in the field of national security and defense, said that the ex-head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vasily Burba had committed a malfeasance.
As reported by "Khvilya" , he announced this on the air of the TV channel "Ukraine 24".
So, according to Arestovich, Burba's words should be verified within the framework of relevant investigations.
“There are already more than one criminal proceeding. The State Bureau of Investigation, the SBU... This concerns the so-called Wagnerian case, leakage of classified information, and, I think, there was also an internal investigation. And I also think that his statements (Burba , - ed.) will become a pretext for new proceedings," Arestovich explained.
At the same time, he emphasized that this is a socially significant matter.
"Because this is a socially significant matter. We will sort it out, as it should be for the state - not on talk shows, but according to the procedure for the failure of intelligence or failure to fulfill tasks. This is not about the president at all, not about Yermak, but about the safety of those people who took part in this special operation," he said.
In addition, Arestovich expressed the opinion that Burba had no right to follow the instructions of anyone other than the President of Ukraine.
"Burba said that he followed the instructions of the person who had no right to give it. This is generally an malfeasance. And if we take the circumstances, perhaps a criminal offense. Can a person be considered a professional who does not know the procedure for using forces and means, according to the Law "About intelligence" and violates it? Big question. He was not supposed to follow the instructions of any head of the Office, except for the president. In addition, such instructions are carried out after written correspondence with appropriate signs, "added the adviser to the head of the OP.
In addition, Arestovich considers the Wagnerian scandal a conspiracy.
"While everything is built on strong words -" zrada "," professionalism", "courageous scouts", "traitor in the Office"... This is all hastily cobbled together. I think the presentation of this whole story is just a conspiracy", - he said.
