In the event of an attack by Russia from the sea, we shall fight back with the Neptune missile systems.
This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov in a commentary to The Washington Post.
Oleksiy Danilov called the situation in Azov "very difficult" for Ukraine. He warned that any attempt to invade Ukraine across the sea would make use an arsenal of Neptune anti-ship missiles.
The publication also quotes Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba, who noted that Russia dominates the Sea of Azov and can use it to invade Ukraine.
He did not rule out that the Russian Federation could use the sea to put pressure on southern Ukrainian cities in the event of an invasion.
