Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko said that by the end of 2021 Ukraine's GDP will reach a record $195 billion.
She wrote about this on her Facebook following a meeting with representatives of the largest international investment companies and funds that invest in Ukraine.
Note that the meeting was also attended by Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov and Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
"The good news is that Ukraine is ending 2021 with the highest dollar-denominated GDP in its entire history (approximately $195 billion)," - Sviridenko wrote.
She noted that due to the introduction of a number of programs in 2022, a high rate of GDP growth is also expected. This includes programs for thermal insulation of the housing, rehabilitation of irrigation systems in the south of the country, cheap mortgages and financing for exporters to increase export volumes.
During the meeting, representatives of the Ukrainian government informed investors about the continuous improvement of macroeconomic indicators, as well as about forecasts for 2022.
The main goal of the Cabinet, according to Sviridenko, is to establish the constancy of the main economic indicators - GDP, foreign exchange reserves, inflation within acceptable limits.
“We strive to bring the business climate in Ukraine to the best world standards,” the minister said.
When asked about the security of Ukraine's borders, Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov answered, who called the situation stable and backed up his words with information that he regularly visits border areas.
Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba stressed that now Ukrainian diplomats are working to form a positive image of Ukraine, noting that this process is complicated by the fact that Russia is constantly conducting disinformation attacks that spoil this image and damage the economy of our country and its investment attractiveness.
"Direct regular frank communication with internal and external investors is the best counteraction to the hybrid war. We will regularly hold such meetings," Sviridenko concluded.
